Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Acceptance
By using this website (heartofthepack.au) or by engaging Heart of the Pack for any service, you agree to these terms. If anything here doesn’t sit right with you, please don’t use the site or book a consultation until we’ve sorted it out — email pauline@heartofthepack.au.
Heart of the Pack is a sole-trader business owned and operated by Pauline Cowey, based at 605 Hughes Gap Road, Crystal Brook SA 5523.
The services we provide
Pauline provides dog behaviour consulting, owner education, and training services — in person across regional South Australia and online Australia-wide. Equivalent services are offered for horses where relevant.
Two important things to be clear about:
- This is not veterinary care. If your dog has a medical or possible medical issue (sudden behaviour change, pain, neurological symptoms, anything you’re worried about), please see your vet. Behaviour work runs alongside veterinary care, not instead of it.
- Results depend on owner follow-through. The method works because you do the work — calmly, consistently, in your real environment. We cannot guarantee specific behavioural outcomes, because the outcome lives in your hands, not ours.
Bookings and payment
Each consultation, package or session is confirmed by a written quote or booking confirmation sent by email. The price, scope, location and any travel component for your engagement are set out in that quote. Payment terms (deposit, balance, method, due date) are also set out there.
Cancellation and rescheduling: the cancellation and rescheduling policy that applies to your booking will be set out in your booking confirmation. If you need to reschedule, get in touch as early as you can and we’ll work something out.
Liability
We take reasonable care in every consultation and every written plan, and we use methods refined over decades of practice. To the extent permitted by law:
- We do not accept liability for your dog’s subsequent behaviour, for outcomes that depend on owner follow-through, or for incidents involving your dog after a consultation has concluded.
- We do not provide veterinary advice. If your dog shows any sign of pain, illness, or sudden behaviour change, see a vet.
- Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — the writing, photography, videos, illustrations, course materials, and the underlying structure — is © Heart of the Pack / Pauline Cowey. You’re welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote short passages with attribution.
Any written plan, assessment, or training material that we prepare for you is provided for your personal use with your own dog (or dogs in your household). Please don’t republish it, resell it, or pass it off as a generic course. If you’d like to share something with another owner, send them the link to this site.
External links
This site may link out to other websites — for example, our marketing partner Lead Flux, local councils, vets, or government resources. Those sites are run by other people. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for what they publish, what they collect, or how they behave. Use your own judgement.
